Our Story
Tsolum Veterinary Hospital has been part of the Comox Valley for many years, growing alongside the families and pets who call this place home. What began as a small practice caring for local pets has moved to a homelike setting next door, with a spacious yard and garden designed for pets and their families to feel comfortable and cared for.
​​From the beginning, we've imagined our clinic as more than a place for appointments. It’s a space for connection, where our team walks alongside you and your pets through every stage with warmth and intention. We’ve shared in the joy, worry, and love that come with caring for animals who are family. Being part of those moments is a responsibility we hold with care, one that keeps us present, personal, and deeply connected to the community we serve.​​​​​
Nurturing Community
Supporting our community is a built-in value at Tsolum. As a locally owned clinic and locals ourselves, we’re shaped by the kindness, support, and sense of belonging of the Comox Valley. Giving back is one way we honour that.
It’s reflected in our support of Island Kids Cancer Association, Comox Valley Transition Society, the creation of Martha’s Love Fund, to help local pets and families when care becomes difficult, and partnerships with local rescues like CR Paws and other homegrown businesses. It also shows up in everyday moments, in shared stories, small celebrations, and in the people and places that make this community what it is.
Carrying hope forward
Martha’s Love Fund was created to carry forward the compassion of one special dog. It provides support to pets and the families who love them, helping ease the challenges of unexpected illness or costly care. Every gift helps ensure more pets can receive the care, comfort, and second chances they deserve
